Let me tell you about little Snappy, the dog.
Quite a serious girl, who did not like to talk.
She was living with Richie, a good friend of mine,
Whom I liked to visit from time to time.

And, when I came to his house for the very first time,
He said: Please forgive this doggie of mine.
For, she does not like anybody at all,
Except me, and my wife, when we take her for a stroll.

Snappy, the Dog,
Let me take you for a walk.
My little Snappy,
We can be so happy,
Happy together,
And, we don't have to talk.

After several weeks, we started to walk
Together with Snappy, and we still did not talk.
But, one evening, when I was about to leave,
Snappy put a doggy biscuit next to my feet.

And she said: "Hey, I've been looking very hard,
This is all I could find, but, it is from my heart!"
Then I said: "Thank you, Snappy! Let them think, I am mad,
But, it's the prettiest gift, I have ever had!"

Snappy, the Dog!
Let me take you for a walk.
My little Snappy,
You've made me so happy!
Happy together,
And we've finally talked.

Many years have passed. Snappy is gone...
But, I close my eyes, and I see her run
With that biscuit in her mouth, in a hurry, in a rush
To give her only treasure, and to make me blush.

I painted her picture, Richie hung it on the wall.
And, when we look at her, we want to take her for a stroll.
Me, and Richie, and Joann want to take her for a walk,
Little Snappy, the dog, who did not like to talk.

Snappy, the Dog,
Let us take you for a walk.
Sweet, little Snappy,
We all can be happy,
Happy together.
Even, if we don't talk.
